Be the voice of the customer and create demand for CEB's digital legal research & MCLE subscription products.

CEB is currently recruiting for a product marketing manager who can own all marketing communications and craft meaningful copy for our website, email communications, and sales collateral to create demand for CEB’s digital subscription products and improve the sales lead generation funnel. The product marketing manager will cultivate a deep understanding of the needs and workflows of key segments of California attorneys in different practice areas in order to continually improve CEB’s product positioning and messaging strategy, and will work closely with the digital marketing manager and product managers. You will love this job if you have top notch writing skills, are calm and methodical, and can prioritize projects with the greatest growth impact given limited time and resources. Although CEB is located in Oakland, CA, remote working is possible!

 

Job Duties:

  • Monitor and analyze user behavior & behavioral analytics on ceb.com in order to understand drivers and barriers to conversion, optimize customer experience, and optimize performance of ceb.com as a sales lead generation funnel
  • Optimize ceb.com for brand and product awareness, free account sign-ups, free trial & demo requests, and self-service purchases of subscription products
  • Develop and own overall ceb.com product strategy, in collaboration with product managers (PMs) and digital marketing manager (DMM)
  • Maintain, update, and create all sales & marketing collateral from service and data sheets, to ceb.com web pages, to online videos, and sales presentations
  • Translate product positioning and strategy from PMs into copy and campaign strategy that reflects who CEB buyers are, how they buy, their key purchasing criteria, and how CEB competitors are positioned
  • Collaborate with DMM and PMs to develop and implement lead-generation campaigns via organic search, search marketing, content marketing, and social media channels
  • Collaborate with PMs to create thought leadership content, including webinars, blog articles, and white papers
  • Collaborate with Ecommerce PM to create store content
  • Collaborate with PMs to create sales presentation materials that highlight and articulate each product’s value proposition to specific customer segments
  • Develop Sales cadence content, including email templates and free content, for both sales-driven and automated campaigns
  • Develop a deep understanding of the legal industry & CEB’s customer segments, as well as CEB’s competitors
  • Perform market segmentation and user persona research, along with DMM
  • Collaborate with PMs and DMM to translate product positioning and value propositions into copy and campaign strategy

 

Experience/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related areas, and/or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in product marketing at a B2B or enterprise technology company
  • Exceptional writing & editing skills, with proven ability to write for technical and non-technical audiences across a wide variety of channels
  • Demonstrated experience working with one or more marketing automaton and measurement tools such as Marketo, Hubspot, Optimizely, and Google Analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a strategic, organized, and results-driven manner
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to facilitate and influence people at all levels of the company
