People Business Partner

This position is located in Remote

In partnership with the People and HR Operations Director and CEB's Executive Leadership team, The People Business Partner will be involved in creating and implementing initiatives that will significantly improve the employee experience and contribute to employee growth and belonging.

This role will be mainly remote, with a hybrid approach of coming into the office periodically

Job Summary:
This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about building and scaling an organization with a strong social mission and purpose. You will help shape the culture of CEB through: Talent Acquisition and Management programs to support Business Goals; Performance Management to ensure stability in the organization; Training and Learning to promote professional growth; and Coaching. This position will be responsible for providing forward-thinking HR support across the organization. The HRBP plans and implements change management initiatives associated with organizational transition activities. The HR Business Partner works with Management regarding employee relations issues and partners with Campus HR to serve as CEB subject matter expert. Additionally, the HRBP will have responsibility for generalist functions as determined by the Director.



  • Undergraduate degree in a related field plus 5 years relevant human resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning styles, participative training design, group dynamics, interactive learning methods, quality improvement processes, advanced consulting methods, leadership coaching, conflict resolution, group process facilitation, organization communications processes, presentation skills and project management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and facility to work with Senior Leadership.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and apply a wide variety of human resources policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentially.
  • Excellent computer skills, including expertise and experience with MS Office Suite, electronic mail, databases, SharePoint, and social media sites.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following functional areas of human resources: staffing, classification/compensation, labor relations, employee relations, and training.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and be able to analyze problems and develop solutions dealing with sensitive and highly confidential issues.
  • Experience in the design and conduct of Organizational Development interventions such as team building.
