What are CEB Telephone Topics
CEB Telephone Topics are short, live, interactive CLE programs on today's hottest topics available over the phone.

How does it work?
CEB Telephone Topics are short, live programs presented by a speaker or panel of speakers and delivered to you over a dedicated conference phone system. You can listen on a cell phone, regular land line phone, or speaker phone. Ten minutes from the end of each presentation, a question and answer period is announced and you are instructed to punch a key on your phone keypad if you would like to queue up to ask a question. All questions are taken in the order received and your question and the answer is shared with the entire listening audience.

What kind of MCLE credit do I earn?
Each CEB Telephone Topics program qualifies for participatory MCLE credit. Certificates of Attendance will be mailed after your attendance is verified, approximately one to two weeks after the program.

Can I use my CLE Passport?
Not at this time.

How do I enroll?

  • ONLINE: Enroll online at ceb.com 24 hours a day.
  • BY PHONE: Call 1-800-232-3444 Operator assistance weekdays 7:30am to 5:00pm (PT), Mon-Fri.
  • BY FAX: Fill in a CEB Order Form (pdf) and fax to 1-800-640-6994.
  • BY MAIL: Mail Order Form (pdf) to CEB, Order Dept., 300 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Suite 410 Oakland, CA 94612-2047.

You will be sent a ticket confirmation by mail that will include instructions for accessing the conference call on the day of the program and instructions for downloading the program materials from ceb.com. You will also receive two reminder notices by e-mail: The first one two weeks before the program and a second reminder 24 hours before the start of the program.

Note: Online program enrollment closes 24 hours before the start of the program. However, you can order by phone up to 1 hour before the start of the presentation.

How do I get my program materials?
Program materials will be available to download from ceb.com 1 week before program date. A link to the materials can be found on your ticket confirmation and in your two reminder e-mails.

Included in the materials is an evaluation form that can be returned to:

How do I access the program on the day of the presentation?
Your ticket confirmation and reminder e-mails contain the 800-number to call to join the program. Call this number 5 to 10 minutes before the start of the program and you will be connected to the conference administrator who will ask you for the following information to confirm your enrollment:

  1. Conference ID Number (located on your ticket confirmation and in your reminder e-mails)
  2. Your First and Last Name
  3. Pin # (this is your California State Bar Number or CEB Customer Number)

You will then be put on hold until the program begins. Once the program begins, no one will be allowed to join the conference late.

What do I do if I lose my phone connection during the program?
If you lose your phone connection at any time during the presentation, call the 800-number listed on your ticket confirmation and in your reminder e-mails to reconnect to the program.
