CEB is the oldest and most respected provider of continuing legal education in California. It is a
nonprofit division of the University of California and is formally allied with the State Bar of
California. For further information about CEB, please click here.
CEB publishes nearly 100 practice books, over 50 Action Guides, and five periodicals, in both print
and electronic format. CEB publications are updated on a regular schedule to stay abreast of current
law and practice in California. Our publications are designed to be accessible and practice-oriented.

CEB publications are written and updated by practicing California attorneys. We regularly seek
California attorneys to serve as original authors, update authors, or consultants for new or existing
publications.
CEB sponsors over 50 live continuing legal education programs each year in locations around the state
of California. Our programs are designed to enable California lawyers to meet statewide MCLE requirements
and to stay up to date on developments in the law and areas of legal practice. For a list of CEB's
current program offerings, please click here. CEB programs are presented by practicing
California attorneys who are recognized experts in their respective practice areas.
Our speakers, authors, and consultants receive little or no monetary compensation for their work,
but are recognized for their contributions to CEB in publications and program materials. In addition,
CEB authors and speakers may be entitled to receive MCLE credit for their efforts from the State Bar
of California in accordance with State Bar MCLE guidelines.
